3M™ Novec™ 1230 fire protection fluid
is a clear, colorless, odorless agent designed to
suppress fires in special hazards or equipment located
where an electrically non-conductive agent is required,
where electronic systems cannot be shut down in an
emergency, where agent cleanup creates a problem,
or when the hazard is normally occupied by personnel.
Stored
in cylinders in its fluid form, Novec 1230 instantly
vaporizes upon discharge, totally flooding protected
spaces and extinguishes fire through heat absorption
and not oxygen reduction. Novec 1230 quickly evaporates
providing minimum business interruption with maximum
asset protection. Novec 1230 is completely safe and
approved for use in occupied spaces.
